Sofie Burgaard’s art exists in the intersection between the recognizable/domestic and the unknown. Motifs and objects look familiar, but they’re not. Especially the colors are retrieved from pre-washed textiles, bleached plastic, and flowers. To Sofie, light colors mean comfort, sensibility, and decay. Do your walls also beg for pastel colors?
